My story
A student of life, a science graduate working in the healthcare industry in the UK, with a special and deep interest in ancient eastern wisdom to balance the mind, body and soul. ‘Science versus spirituality’ was always a challenge for me and over the years and with my ayurveda panchakarma training in India, I understand there is a place (and need) for both. As they say, prevention is better than cure, but at the same time, we need the cures.
My deepest desire has always been to live a balanced life and over the years I’ve discovered that these are the stepping stones to focus on to achieve this balance:
These stepping stones have brought balance in all aspects of my mind, body and soul and I continue to work with myself to keep these aspects in tune. I have found that by approaching things naturally and in harmony with nature, whilst embracing my motto of ‘faith, love and compassion’, I have been able to progress and grow authentically.
The changes I have made haven’t been radical or made overnight (that’s way too extreme for a soul like me!); instead, they have been focused and considered. I believed the small changes would create new habits for a more balanced lifestyle. This approach, to me, was more realistic than the ‘go hard or go home’ approach (which I admit does work for some).
Over the years, I have invested in myself (I told you I was a student of life) through a variety of courses, some in the UK and others in India. I have also invested in books, some purchased online and others from street sellers in Asia whose next meal was dependent on selling their daily quota of books. I’ve also learnt a lot about myself through people, charity work, travel and energy healing.
Alongside this has been the experience of applying, practising and ultimately growing. I have always wished to share this wealth of knowledge with others and it was from this place, in my heart, that Retreat Me Well was born.
I hope that this website will reach and benefit many of you out there, by allowing me to share my experiences and knowledge.
